- combining body parts of more than one species.
- These forms' motifs appear across cultures, in many mythologies around the world.
this seems magical, a horse with wings is always magical.
HI EVERYONE! Welcome to my blog, my name is Nila Lares In my art I’ve noticed some themes such as fashion, pop art, feminism, body image, beauty, pattern, and color. One day I would like to look back and have some perspective about what I was going through at the moment I made the work of art. I want my art to be reflective of who I am and I want others to be able to reflect on themselves when they look at my art.

Composite Creatures
I LOVE MERMAIDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kikyz1313
- Kikyz1313 is a Mexican Artist.
- Born in 1988 in Queretaro,Mexico.
This painting is so sad, the girl looks very bored and uncomfortable. it looks like the place that she was buried a tree grew there and she got let stuck in the roots or the trunk of the tree. - Kikyz1313 focuses on Death and Morality.
- Through her art she shows the true discomfort of death.
I like this painting because the first thing that caught my eye was the cat not until i really looked closely that i saw a dead human too. I really love the flowers and the butterfly and the colors make it look vintage. - Through her art she shows the deterioration of the human body.
- She paints pale dead children and animals.
This image is really freaky and very uncomfortable, the death of children are the wort in my opinion, because its very sad that their lives are taking so soon and they will never know what they will become of them in the future.
- her work is neither despondent or gory.
I dont know whats going on here, i don't know wether they are cuddling or if she should be afraid of the cat. - she received a BFA from the Universidad Autonoma de Queretaro.
- a first solo exhibition at the museo de la ciudad de Queretaro.
what I like about this painting is the details that are in the back of the child. it's also creepy because of the eye balls in the center of the flower. I also find it really creepy that whatever is on her face and nose might be blood.
this one really affected me because I have a family member who passed away at a very young age. my mom had her first baby when she was 13, the baby was a girl and her name is Petronila (I'm named after her) my sister passed away when she was 8 months old and my parents were very poor and couldn't afford medicine and so my sister died.Thursday, January 19, 2017
MODER MEDIA ARTICLE
It makes me sad that in the U.S.A the number #1 popular activity is Social Networking. I understand that technology is taking over. The future is based on social networking and it's concerning because now we are even looking to mental health consequences. The number one activity should be something active, being on the web is not active in fact its making us more unhealthy. It's stopping kids from going to the park instead they sit at home with a technology up their face. Another issue for me is how anti social it has become, texting, emailing, blogging is a form of communication but it will never be the same as actually talking to someone face to face. I'm also thankful for technology because it doe shave it's positive side because of the network I can stay in touch with family and friends all over the world.

PROTEST ART
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: as a survivor from domestic violence I would like to make protest art about that topic. I think it's important to talk about it through art because its a hard topic to talk about it verbally, domestic violence can be verbal, physical, mental, and emotional. if i choose this topic i think i want to focus on my own experience.I don't know what material or how I'm going to integrate art with this topic but I think it would be nice to do something about domestic violence.
IMMIGRATION: this topic is also related to me, since I was an immigrant a couple of years ago. this topic is always been an issues and is still a current issue. i have a lot of family and friends who are here illegally and are worried for their lives since the election went terribly wrong. i would like to show how people who are immigrants came here for a better future and i would like to do that through art. i want to show that not everybody who to America are bad and that in really they are here because their country has no future for them and that they are hard working people.
FOSTER KIDS: I was also in the foster care system and I saw the good and the bad about this system. i could focus on the bad part and how it could be better but i would like to do something about the kids who are in that situation. i need to think more about it, i want to encourage more people to foster kids or adopt kids, specially older kids, i also want to change people mind about kids being in foster care. they usually portrait kids in DCYF as bad kids but i think it has to do more with parents and different situations.
