- teamLab (f. 2001, Tokyo, by Toshiyuki Inoko) is an interdisciplinary group of ultra-technologists
- whose collaborative practice seeks to navigate the confluence of art, technology, design and the natural world.
- Rooted in the tradition of ancient Japanese Art and contemporary forms of anime,
- teamLab operates from a distinctly Japanese sense of spatial recognition, investigating human behavior in the information era and proposing innovative models for societal development.
- teamLab’s works are in the permanent collection of Borusan Contemporary, Istanbul; The Asian Art Museum, San Francisco; The Asia Society Museum, New York; Art Gallery of South Australia, Adelaide; and Art Gallery of New South Wales, Sydney. They have been the subject of numerous exhibitions worldwide; in 2015, a projection work was exhibited on the façade of the Grand Palais, Paris.

OMG ! this one if my favorite! it looks like a magical beautiful pond with all sorts of beautiful colored fish and that girl as a mermaid.

It was very descriptive and visually attractive!
ReplyDeleteI love hearing about your opinions a=on the art, it's all so descriptive and gives me a fun way to look at the art. I think you're layout for your opinions is a really good setup. I don't really like how you put all of the facts into bullet points, though, it made it difficult for me to read. I feel like bullet points just immediately make me feel like it's supposed to be just rushed through and it makes it feel just a bit dull. That's just my opinion on it thought. I think you're facts, however, are quite informative and they gave me a good idea of the creator of these pieces. The pictures you chose also were very nice to look at.
ReplyDeleteI really like this artist. The visuals for the images you picked are really good! I love the way you talk about them too. It really gives me a good amount of information to work with

DeleteThis art is really cool! I love that it is both visual and investigative of human behavior. I want to know more about this group- are these people guests experiencing the art and their natural reactions are studied? Or are they purposely placed there and then filmed like models? I also wanted to know the names of each display so I can look them up because those are awesome.
