NEGATIVE SPACE

Negative space, in art, is the space around and between the subject(s) of an image. Negative spacemay be most evident when the space around a subject, not the subject itself, forms an interesting or artistically relevant shape, and such space occasionally is used to artistic effect as the "real" subject of an image.

  1. I really like how you showed the "reverse" negative space. Most pieces show the background being white and the actual art being in color. Your blog shows the background being a different color and the art piece being white. I find that really cool.

  3. This art is very cool! I really like the bike, the abstract face, and the weird shape that you said messes with your mind. I also enjoyed hearing your opinions on the art and you gave good background information on the artist.

  5. You're blog is dense af. So much that I did not read everything. Sorry but not really. The stuff I did see though was really danging cool, there's a lot of diversity in the things you post and the pieces you choose from your artists. I do have a problem with the font though, but whatever it's not my blog so keep up the good work.

  6. I looooove the top two images, they're really stunning and more detailed than images I was finding while doing this blog so I really love the pictures you've provided as examples. Reading through your posts, you provide a lot of explanation and detail and that's really awesome because for some of the blogs I had trouble finding substantial information but you have done a really great job !

  7. Help me. The second image was making my brain go crazy. Your explanation of negative space is understandable, to me at least. 10/10 :)
